Yoga ClassesCome to a local Hatha Yoga class, suitable for you, whatever your age, fitness or level of yoga experience. Everyone is welcome from beginners to advanced.
What will you gain from your Yoga practice?
The classes are traditional Hatha Yoga with a focus on relaxation, breathing, posture work and meditation. I also draw on Tai Chi, Dru Yoga and healing for inspiration which makes the classes more varied and interesting. We usually have some fun too as laughter is great for releasing tension. The Asanas (postures) will increase your flexibility and muscle tone and well as stretching out your tension. Everyone works at their own level and I adapt postures to suit to suit your needs whatever they may be. You will learn to be more aware of your body, breath and mind as we move through the physical postures into the guided visualisations and final meditation. The classes are friendly and we meet up socially twice a year for a post Christmas dinner and a summer garden party. Here's a photo of some of us from this year's summer get together.

After a few weeks I stopped taking them because I didn't enjoy feeling like a zombie! A friend asked if I would like to join her at a Yoga class. Always happy to try out something new, I went along and was hooked by that first session and have been practicing Yoga since then - about 35 years. I qualified as a Yoga teacher in 2000 with The Yoga for Health Foundation and have been running classes for 7 years.

Class DetailsClasses cost £7 if you pay on the day or enjoy a discount and pay for the full month in advance at £6 per week. If you can't make your usual class you are welcome to come to the other one instead.
