Other Activites On The Retreat
Swimming, Diving and Snorkelling
The sea will be warm in March and when you walk into the clear waters of the
Red Sea from the hotel beach you will find the stunning coral reef at your feet.
The Egypt coastline has some of the best snorkelling and diving anywhere in the
world.

Crystal Clear Sea … Pefect For Snorkelling
You can hire equipment easily and inexpensively from one of the many dive
centres along the beachfront (see the hotel website which has some ideas
www.christinahotels.com)
and there's no need to book in advance. The Red Sea dive spots are geologically unique. The deep Blue Hole and the
Canyon are world-renowned by divers. The reefs are beautiful and teeming with
fish life, and the Canyon has very interesting rock formations. You can also
take trips by jeep and/or camel to some spectacular sights further away from the town of Dahab.

Windsurfing and Kite Surfing
There's always a reliable breeze in this region which attracts windsurfers and
kite surfers from all over the world. Windsurfing takes place around the
lighthouse area and around the lagoon with its sandy beach where windsurfing
courses and tuition are also available Experienced kiters can surf directly
off the beach in the village, heading off all the way to the peaceful nature
reserve of Ras Abu Gallum. There are also kite surfing courses on offer in the lagoon.
Riding
There are many opportunities to ride camels or beautiful Arabian horses along
the beach or into the desert. You can even be collected from the hotel to go on
your ride.
Sightseeing
You can also take trips to places of interest such as Mount Sinai and St
Catherine's Monastery where you can see the bush which is reputed to have
descended from the Burning Bush from which God spoke to Moses.
