Egypt Beach Perfect for Yoga

Guest Reviews and Feedback - Egypt Yoga Holiday 2007

Testimonial One
It was a wonderful week with lots of peace and quiet. I loved the yoga in the morning to start the day and again before going out in the evening. The yoga class was as easy or hard as you wanted, you could work at your own level and the yoga room up the spiral staircase was just perfect.

Ruth is a Reiki master and I had my first ever treatment and found it quite relaxing. The hotel is fantastic, and the owner Christina was great. One evening she arranged a lovely Egyptian meal specially for our group and then she joined in with us too. Some of the girls ended up belly dancing after the meal and we all had a good laugh! We ate at lots of different restaurants and all the food was lovely - I didn't have a bad meal all week. I didn't really want to do the trip into the desert but I'm glad I did! I thoroughly enjoyed it especially the Yogic chanting in the canyon. We thought we couldn't be heard because it was so quiet there but the sound travelled out of the canyon and everyone heard!

Even though it's a quiet resort there was plenty to do and the week flew by.

Testimonial Two

Last November I went to Dahab, Egypt (for the first time) on a Lifedancing Yoga and Reiki retreat organised and run by Ruth Chambers. Rosie Snorkelling in the Warm Waters of the Red Sea For me this holiday combined the activities I love most, Yoga and Reiki and, of course, swimming - snorkelling to be more exact. I was a little anxious as I was to share a room with someone I did not know. I need not have worried as Kathryn turned out to be a delightful girl who was keen to enjoy the whole experience. In fact, everyone I met on the holiday in Dahab were lovely people. The Christina Beach Palace Hotel was excellent, all the staff friendly, efficient and obliging and the accommodation of a good standard. The room we did our Yoga and Reiki in was ideal and it was all practised at a calm, leisurely and enjoyable pace, so beginners as well as more experienced people felt very comfortable.

Ruth was wonderful! She looked after us so well and was so enthusiastic that it was hard not to be the same. She took us to some wonderful places in which to snorkel and swim. I had heard how great the Red Sea was for its colourful reefs, but it exceeded all my expectations and I found it hard to leave the water as the myriad colours of the fish and corals were so fascinating. The trip into the desert was an experience not to be missed, not least for the style of driving required in deep sand!

I have travelled quite a bit, but I must say that on my return, I realized that this retreat had been the most fun and enjoyable holiday I can remember. I am now keen to explore more of Egypt as the people and country have such charm.

Testimonial Three

It's hard to know what to say as all of it was so lovely. It was my first trip to Egypt, but I think I can say it won't be my last.

It was wonderful to holiday with such like-minded people; Christina and Ruth worked so well together to accommodate all of our needs. Unlike other group holidays we weren't glued to a rigid timetable, it was a leisurely week as life is in Dahab.

I had a truly relaxing time and felt immediately welcomed by everyone involved.

Snorkelling, yoga, chanting 'oms' in a canyon, time devoted to self and just a little bit of belly dancing made it a perfect pre-Christmas treat!

Thank you Ruth.
